Zunheboto, August 11 (MExN): One day sensitisation meeting for principals and nodal teachers on Measles-Rubella vaccination campaign under Zunheboto Sadar was held on August 9 at CMO office, Zunheboto.
In his introduction address, Dr. Mulasato Keyho, MO i/c Asuto PHC, Zunheboto briefed about the objectives of the workshop and encouraged the participants to work hand in hand. He motivated the participants to work with dedication and sincerity for the upcoming campaign. He also stressed on the micro planning, recording, reporting and monitoring tools. The rollout plan with timelines and other guidelines, planning of schools and outreach MR campaign were also highlighted.
Shekho Sophie, District Media Officer felicitated the participants on country’s MR update, elimination strategies and basic strategies operational plans for Measles-Rubella vaccination campaign. He also spoke on the objectives of the MR Communication plan and briefed about the importance of advocacy with the stakeholders and social mobilization. He further stressed on capacity building of community and media management.
Dr Shikatoli Achumi, MO, RBSK briefed about the AEFI treatment and management during MR campaign, while Dr. Imsongienla, MO, RBSK stressed on organising vaccination sites, including injection safety and waste management during the MR campaign.
The training was attended by principals, head teachers, administrators and teacher I/c of government schools and private schools under Zunheboto Sadar.
