Wokha, September 29 (MExN): A programme on adolescent girls under Poshan Maah was held at Koio Community Hall, Chukitong on September 28 on the topic ‘Health and Nutrition’ and ‘Tobacco and Teens.’
Resource speaker, Dr Abenthung Murry, Medical Officer, Chukitong Primary Health Centre spoke on how adolescent nutrition is important for supporting the physical growth of the body and for preventing future health issues.
Dr Daisy, District Nodal Officer of the National Tobacco Control Programme urged upon the adolescent to avoid consumption of tobacco as it effects the development of body and brain’s system and functionality.
The programme was chaired by Sr Supervisor, Zubemo Jami.
