Dimapur, February 4 (MExN): Project 3E Space under Can Youth distributed smartphones to three Youth Support Groups (YSGs)- Yader YSG Dhansiripar, Unity YSG Chümoukedima, Darogajan Village YSG and 2 entrepreneurs from Bade village Dimapur and Punglwa Village Peren on February 2 at Buna Café, Dimapur.

The programme was part of a collaboration of Nokia Company with Better India in which top 20 entrepreneurs were selected from all over India.

Can Youth Founder Jenpu Rongmei was among the 20 Entrepreneur and he received 6 Nokia C3 smartphones to distribute among selected local entrepreneur and youth groups who work on income generation activity.

The purpose of distributing smartphones is to promote their business and enterprise through technology.

Faihamti Longmailai, coordinator of 3E space, Can Youth, chaired the programme.

Albert Gangte, Manager of Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) Dimapur Branch handed over the smartphones to the YSGs and entrepreneurs.

Albert shared the basic principles of being a successful entrepreneur and said that “it all depends on how we serve the customers.”

He also mentioned that when starting a, one should never expect big profit or revenue and stressed on the dignity of labor which is required in every individual to be a ‘social entrepreneur’.

“Money will help you in setting up and attracting more customers but at the end it all depends on your services and how you communicate and plan a market strategy as well as community need based strategy,” he concluded.

He encouraged Can Youth to form more Youth Support Groups and promote income generation activity for sustainability among young people.
