Phek, July 23 (MExN): The Phek Town Council (PTC) has undertook a tree plantation drive under the banner “One Man: One Tree” within the town council jurisdiction on July 20 last.
PTC chairperson Shevohii Nienu informed that this programme was the first project of PTC after its recent formation to combat global warming. He informed that District Forest Officer (DFO), Phek has donated 4000 tree sapling while Mutsale Youth Organization donated 11,000 saplings, which was planted in 11 wards of PTC.
Neiwekha Wezah, DFO Phek and Dr Pritpal Kaur, SP Phek also spoke at the launching programme. The programme was led by PTC chairman Shevohii Nienu while Dunepalii Soho, councillor PTC invoked God’s blessings.
