Pughoboto adopts ‘one-man one-tree’

Pughoboto, April 7 (MExN): MLA and SDPDB Pughoboto Chairman Y Vikheho Swu initiated the tree plantation drive from Mishilimi gate to Mini Secretariat New ADC Office, Pughoboto on April 7. Various officers along with their staff under Pughoboto Sub-division took part in the drive and adopted one-man one-tree.

A DIPR report stated that Swu supervised the overall the plantation since the inception of Thüwü-ni 2014. He stressed on the need to maintain ecological balance and informed that a social work will be conducted after one month. 

Saplings were planted along the New Mini Secretariat vicinity to road of GHS High school, SABAK, NCRC and Mishilimi Government Middle High School with varieties of saplings such as bakul, pine, fish tail palm, silver oak, ashok. The saplings were supplied by the Forest Department and Vikheho Swu under the LADP 2020-21.

Pughoboto SDPB meeting held
Pughoboto Sub-Division Planning Board meeting was conducted under the chairmanship of MLA and SDPDB Chairman, Y Vikheho Swu at the DB Court Hall, Pughoboto on April 7.

According to a DIPR report the house decided to take up with the authority for posting immediately, the schools running without Head Master and Assistant Head Master under Pughoboto Sub-division. The house deliberated on minority scholarship for class 1 to 10, which will be applied online. Replying to the deplorable condition road between Kashanyu to Pughoboto, SDO Akumyanger apprised the house that it will see the matter after the completion of some works in the area. The House also discussed about renovating offices. 

SDEO, Grace Ashom in her presentation informed that all together there are 32 schools, 303 teachers and 1213 students as per the latest data in the Sub-division. Area Education officer highlighted the duties, power and functioning of Schools. Veterinary department has been entrusted with the PowerPoint presentation for the next meeting.
