Peren, Feb 26 (MExN): The three Peren villages Council namely the Peren Village Council, New Peren Village Council and Kezanglwa Village Council held a joint meeting on February 16, 2006 as called for by the Peren Village Council where according to a release issued by Ngaulu, Chairman, Kezanglwa Village Council, the Peren lui Council which was formed on January 13, 2004 without the consensus decision of the Peren people had been dissolved.
Further the release stated, “ any document/ letters submitted to the Government of Nagaland in the name of Peren Village Council against the decision and recommendation of the Zeliangrong Baudi (HOHO) pertaining to Peren District Headquarters site is herby withdrawn, as resolved in the meeting held at the residence of Keilu Ndang on February 22, 2006”.
The release stated that the Peren people had unanimously decided to accept the Zeliangrong Baudi’s (HOHO) proposal for Tebam-Hegeilulwa-New-Peren-Kezanglwa as extended complex of Peren District Headquarters, “And assure the Peren People’s full cooperation to the Zeliangrong Baudi (HOHO) and the Government for the establishment of a matter plan and model District Headquarters”, it added.
