The Quest Badminton Club Kohima today organized a fund raising carnival here at the Indoor Badminton Stadium. The carnival aims to raise fund to supplement the club fund.
International player from Nagaland- Ankur Sangpang Rai, who is one of the members of the club said that Quest Badminton Club Kohima was formed recently to promote badminton players and local talents.
Out of around 20 members, this club has around six national players and one international player. The club also aims to provide platform to the players to participate at the various tournaments and also to connect them to the professional academy.
Rai, who had participated at Syed Modi International Badminton Championships, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh and Yonex Chinese Taipei Open, Taiwan (Men’s Single/Double- Grand Prix Gold Level) in 2017, viewed that the state can really excel in the field of badminton in the international level provided good infrastructure and proper guidance.
