The day began with Goa under early pressure as Nagaland struck twice in the opening session, leaving the visitors at 33/2 after 21 overs. However, Goa recovered steadily, reaching 65/2 at lunch, thanks to a composed partnership between their top-order batters. The second session saw disciplined bowling from Nagaland, who managed to reduce Goa to 121/4 by tea. The final session of the day brought late wickets for Nagaland, keeping them in contention as they tightened their grip on the game.

Goa’s batting lineup saw a standout performance from middle-order batter Kashyap Bakhale, who anchored the innings with an unbeaten 68 off 148 balls. Suyash Prabhudessai provided an early spark with 46 off 89 balls, while Snehal Kauthankar added 48 runs with a calm and composed approach, narrowly missing a half-century.

Nagaland’s bowling attack, led by Jagadeesha Suchith, made significant inroads throughout the day. Suchith delivered a crucial three-wicket haul, finishing the day with figures of 3/50 from 30 overs. The rest of the bowlers chipped in with disciplined performances, restricting Goa’s scoring rate and taking timely wickets to ensure a competitive total on the scoreboard.
