Kohima, May 26 (MExN): The AAY and PHH ration card holders today availed free foodgrain under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKY) at Midland Colony, Kohima.
It is being provided by the Department of Food & Civil Supplies, Nagaland.
Due to the present COVID -19 situation and to minimize crowding, the authority have decided to distribute the foodgrain in 3 consecutive days, day one for Upper Midland, which was distributed today by ensuring COVID-19 appropriate behaviour.
Further, the free foodgrain will be provided to the ration card holders of Lower Midland and Middle Midland on May 27 and 28 respectively from 9: 00 am to 3:00 pm.
The public have been informed to wear mask and maintain social distancing norms.
