Kohima, April 15 (MExN): Governor of Nagaland, RN Ravi extended Wangtsunuo greetings to Yimchunger community and to people of Nagaland. In a message, Ravi stated that Wangtsunuo means ‘hut making festival’ and is celebrated to invoke God's blessings for a plentiful harvest and protection of the crops from natural disasters. During the celebrations, Yimchungers exhibit their magnificent traditions and customs wherein the youth familiarise themselves with their roots. “As we celebrate this beautiful festival, let us do so observing every Covid-19 protocol,” he urged.
Dy CM and BLP leader Y Patton also greeted the Yimchunger community on occasion of Wangtsunuo. Festival is a time to foster unity and friendship among brothers and sisters, to make it more meaningful, Patton said while appealing to celebrate with caution as the 2nd wave of COVID is casting shadow of uncertainty.
