I appreciate the effort of the state investigation teams probing into various scams, particularly fraudulent pension withdrawals. But the manner and style in which the Finance Commissioner has clarified to the people was not quite satisfactory and agreeable as he did failed to produce the names of those criminals stating that investigations are on, which is nothing, but insubstantial to his clarification.
As stated earlier too, investigation is not an end in itself whatsoever, and there is no justice, when those criminals are not punished as per the law of the land, but the paradox is that the authority often clarify investigations are on. This is nothing, but the same as to injustice to the common innocent people.
Perhaps investigation is also important, but what people want is, what type of punitive action are being taken on those criminals and if not why they have not been punished, or on what ground the criminals have been released. Because the clarification and explanation of Finance Commissioner is absolutely deceiving, when the criminals who were caught with hard fact incriminating documents were also not been punished.
The reason given by the Finance Commissioner that the names of the criminals cannot be disclosed is a farce and amount to protecting of criminals.
Therefore I request the authority to produce the names of those criminals and what punitive actions have been imposed on them along with their photographs for the interest of the people. When the photographs of one time petty criminals are being widely published in the newspapers, why these criminals, who have involved in high degree of criminal activities such as fraudulent pension withdrawals and medical re-imbursement and bogus appointments in various government departments, should not be published?
Those criminals whom the authority has failed to book, are the same people involving in other scams like medical re-imbursement and bogus appointments and other anti-social activities.
