Recoveries continue to surpass COVID-19 positive cases in Nagaland

Dimapur, August 18 (MExN): A total of 65 COVID-19 positive cases were reported in Nagaland on August 18, taking the state’s tally to 3520.

Out of the 65 cases, 37 were Armed Forces, 11 Frontline Workers, 9 traced contacts and 8 returnees. 

The number of recoveries were however higher on Tuesday as 134 recoveries was registered.

According to an update from State Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom, the recovered patients were from Dimapur (79), Kohima (36) and Zunheboto (19).

“All the recovered patients will be kept under strict surveillance,” Pangnyu informed.

With this, the total recovery stood at 1664 while the number of active cases was 1842 according to the COVID-19 bulletin on August 18.
