Dimapur, December 19 (MExN): Nagaland recorded 9 new COVID-19 positive cases on Saturday, taking the state’s tally to 11,841. According to updates from the Department of Health and Family Welfare, 8 of the new cases were from Kohima while 1 was from Mokokchung. On the other hand, 25 patients who were previously COVID-19 positive have recovered in the last 24 hours. This takes the total number of recoveries in the state to 11,101 and the number of active cases now stands at 538. Of the active cases, 495 are asymptomatic, 28 are mild, 10 moderate on oxygen, 4 severe on oxygen and 1 on ventilator. The state has recorded a total of 73 deaths out of which 10 were declared “not COVID related” after review by the state death review committee. Among the districts, Kohima has the highest number of cases with 276, Dimapur- 128, Mokokchung-35, Peren-19, Kiphire- 14, Mon-13, Tuensang- 9, and Phek-1. Longleng, Wokha and Zunheboto districts currently have no active cases.
