
Dimapur, November 15 (MExN): The Indian Red Cross Society, Nagaland State under the Chairpersonship of Abeni Lotha and General Secretary Dr Neiphiu Kire provided 150 hygiene kits to the fire victims of Public Ground colony, Dimapur.
According to a press release from the IRCS Dimapur Dist Branch Vice-Chairperson, the kits contained items like sanitary pads, bath soaps, washing soaps, tooth brushes, toothpaste, coconut oil, razors, etc.
The release stated that Thursday's inferno affected 132 families after an electrical short-circuit there. Vice-Chairperson Ajay Sethi, Honorary Secretary KK Paul, Patron Sanjay Jain, Life Member Apu Roy, Volunteers Asaduddin Ali and Rishav Sethi were present on the occasion, besides Muslim Council Dimapur President Hannan Tapadar, Public Ground Colony Chairperson Teisovinuo Lotha and Secretary Mhabemo Kikon.
Earlier on Saturday, Dimapur Red Cross provided 132 kitchen stoves, one each to the affected families, it added, while expressing gratitude to all its patrons, life members and volunteers for their continued support for humanitarian services in Dimapur in particular.
Meanwhile, it also requested the Dimapur Red Cross's new 10-Patrons of 2020-21 to attend the Ceremonial function at Durbar Hall, Raj Bhawan, Kohima where they will be decorated as Patrons by the Nagaland Governor and the Chief Minister of Nagaland at 10:30 am on November 17.
