Red Cross takes over DDRC

DIMAPUR, JUNE 8 (MExN): In a short programme held at 10am today, the National Institute for Orthopaedic Handicap (NIOH) handed over the reins of the Dimapur District Rehabilitation Centre (DDRC) to the Indian Red Cross Society. Hokishe Sema was invited to be the Chief Guest, but could not make it. The Nodal Officer of the NIOH, Patil who was present at the occasion said that the NIOH has full faith in the capacity of the DDRC to handle the issue of physical rehabilitation. He further said that each individual has different needs and requirements to which the DDRC will be looking to fulfill in its capacity.

NIOH will still play an advisory role since this profession has different dimensions to it. Dr.Kavito will be the officer in charge.K.N.Ngullie DC Dimapur, is the Chairman of the Indian Red Cross Society Dimapur.
