Kisama, November 29 (MExN): In view of the forthcoming Hornbill festival, Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton today inaugurated the refurbished Lotha Chumpo (Morung) at Kisama in the presence of Advisor Mhathung Yanthan, Lotha Hoho officials, Kohima Lotha Hoho, Kohima Lotha Eloe Hoho, elders from Lotha community and Kohima Lotha Students’ Union officials.
The morung was given modern aesthetic outlook maintaining its traditional design, constructed with the financial contributions from the four elected members from Wokha district, the media cell of Dy CMO stated in a press release.
It also stated that Kohima Lotha Students’ Union, which is celebrating its golden jubilee next January, will manage the Lotha Chumpo (Morung) during this Hornbill.
Lotha Hoh, Chairman Er Mhondamo Lotha also spoke during the inaugural while the dedicatory prayer was pronounced by Rev Dr K Benri Lotha, senior pastor. Kohima Lotha Baptist Church.
