
ANTA for fare hike
Kohima, September 24 (MExN): The All Nagaland Taxi Association had held a meeting on 20th at Association Office Kohima, HQ, regarding the taxi fare and had requested the authority to enhance the taxi fare for both Local and zonal taxis in the state as diesel and petrol prices had being hike to three times but the taxi fare remain the same till date. This has informed through a press release issued by Vivor Miachieo, president All Nagaland Taxi association Kohima.
Onam festival celebration today
Dimapur, September 24 (MExN): Onam festival celebration organized by Malayali Samajam Kohima(MSK), the apex body of the Keralites residing in Kohima will be held on September 25, 10: 30 am onwards at the Heritage Bungalow, Kohima (Old DC’s Bungalow at Officer’s Hill). Parliamentary secretary for Justice & Law, Tourism Yitachu has kindly consented to grace the function as the chief guest. The highlights of the programme are traditional and cultural shows presented by the members of the Malayali Community and Onam feast.All the members and well wishers are humbly requested to attend the function in time, informed a press note issued by chairman of Onam committee George Abraham.
DGU mourns
Dimapur, September 24 (MExN): The Dimapur Gorkha Union (DGU) conveyed its deepest condolences to the bereaved family members of the victims of earth quake in the country on September 18. The DGU in a note stated that it prays that the Almighty God to give strength to the bereaved family members at this hour of grief and also wishes a speedy recovery to the injured ones.
