Dimapur, November 7 (MExN): The regional conclave on ‘Skill Development – A Preparation for Post-COVID-19’ held at Dimapur Government College (DGC) concluded on November 7.
Stretched over ten technical sessions including both theoretical and practical sessions, the three-day skills conclave concluded with three technical sessions, finally culminating with the valedictory session.
Two technical sessions on the topic ‘Mushroom Cultivation as an Economic Development Venture in Post COVID19: Theory and Practice’ was conducted by Scientist Dr Sosang Longkumer whose expertise and knowledge in mushroom cultivation is known internationally, a press release from the college’s Publicity and Media Cell stated.
The last technical session on ‘Soft Skills and Business Etiquette’ was conducted by Social Entrepreneur and MD of The People’s Channel Rozelle Mero.
The valedictory speech was delivered by Prof Vasanthi Rajendran, Centre for Training, Orientation and Capacity Building at RGNIYD, Chennai.
The Vice-Principal of the college Kezhaleu Hesso thanked everyone who contributed towards the success of the programme, and made special mention of the resource persons.
She also acknowledged the sponsors, RGNIYD for not only helping financially, but also showing keen interest and participating in the proceedings and also ensuring the successful conduct of the conclave.
