Appeal to GPRN/NSCN

DIMAPUR, JANUARY 17 (MExN):
GRPN/NSCN authorities have been requested to ascertain and clarify the credentials of a co-accused in the Hariram Gupta abduction case.  M. Thomas of Zeliang Colony, Burma Camp, Dimapur today said he was not involved in the ‘hijacking’ of any Manipur bound oil tanker days before the abduction of businessman Gupta. A statement made available to the press termed the allegation as fabricated and baseless and said it was unfortunate.  He has appealed to the GPRN/NSCN to check his own antecedents as he is engaged in small business for many years at Dimapur. Thomas urged the GPRN/NSCN to cross check his credentials with authorities in his village, Church and neighbours. He requested them to not rely on individual versions or statements allegedly made by one Romeo, the prime accused in the kidnap case.
