Kohima, September 26 (MExN): As the All Nagaland Adhoc Teachers’ Group (ANATG 2015 Batch) began its indefinite protest on Monday to demand for service regularisation, the Directorate of School Education (DoSE) has said that “the Government can consider regularization of service of Adhoc Teachers only with direction from the Supreme Court and High Court.”
Stating this in a press release on Monday, Principal Director Thavaseelan K stated that the Department of School Education has already informed the concerned teachers that “the Government is constrained to regularize the adhoc/contract service of the All Nagaland Adhoc Teachers’ Group – 2015 Batch in view of the Supreme Court and High Court Standing Order.”
In consideration of the plight of the teachers on Adhoc Service, the Government has already granted scale pay with Revision of Pay (RoP) 2010 to them in spite of the financial constraints faced by the State.
However, in terms of service regularisation, the Government can consider regularization of service of Adhoc Teachers only with direction from the Supreme Court and High Court.
Therefore, all concerned are requested not to resort to any kind of agitation in this regard and resume their duties with immediate effect, it said.
“It is made known to all teachers that the period of absence will be treated as Dies-non and the principle of No Work, No Pay will be imposed. Further, disciplinary action will be initiated against the employees as per the Nagaland Government Servants Conduct Rules, 1968,” the release stated.
