Longleng, July 31 (MExN): The Longleng district administration and District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), in collaboration with Phomla Hoichem and the Phom Students' Conference (PSC), distributed Emergency Relief Fund (ERF) assistance and ration relief to families affected by landslides in Alayung, Yaongyimchen, Yachem and Noksosang villages on July 30.
The relief was provided to families whose houses were damaged or rendered unsafe following landslides and ground subsidence that began on July 19.
According to official figures, 55 households comprising 215 people—105 males and 110 females—have been affected across the four villages. The damage includes six houses severely damaged in Alayung, while several other houses in vulnerable areas were evacuated in the affected villages.
