Wokha, December 4 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner & President Zila Sainik Board Wokha, Orenthung Lotha inaugurated the newly constructed rest house of Zila Sainik on December 4. Inaugurating the new rest house, a DIPR report stated that the DC encouraged the Ex-Serviceman community to continue contributing and keep serving for the cause of the society. He urged them to use the rest house with a sense of responsibility and judiciously.
Welfare Officer, Zila Sainik Board, Wokha, Cap. (Retd) Seikholen Thomsong, expressed gratitude to all individuals concerned, land owners Ex-serviceman Association and to the DC & President Zila Sainik Board Wokha for the support extended in successfully completing the construction of the rest house. The Ex-Serviceman Association informed that they have already submitted a proposal to the Maj. Gen, SM IGAR (N) Camp Kohima for construction of War Memorial at Wokha in memory of the 1971 Battle of DHARAMDAN Bangladesh, and awaiting approval from higher authority for construction of the same, where the association requested the Deputy Commission to extend logistic support in this perusal. The new rest house is located near Public ground, Wokha under Tsumang “B” colony. Chairman of the colony who also gave a short speech assured to extend all possible support for the welfare of the ex-serviceman community.
