Dimapur, February 8 (MExN): The Zeliang Peoples’ Organisation, Kohima has mourned the demise of Rev Deuhing Nsa, one of the eldest reverends amongst the Zeliang people, who passed away on February 7.
“Rev Deuhing Nsa was known to be an inspirational leader and servant of the Lord God Almighty who had served the Lord and His people in various capacities during his active days,” it said in a condolence message on Monday.
“In his old age, and with the good works accomplished, Rev Deuhing Nsa had only been blissfully awaiting at the harbour to be called home... Now he, with all those gone ahead of us will celebrate in the arms of their only true love, Jesus Christ our Lord,” it added.
Sharing their grief with the late Rev Nsa’s family, friends and fellow Christian community during this difficult time, it prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
NZPO: The Nagaland Zeliang Peoples’ Organisation mourned the demise of a “respectable and tall leader,” who had rendered his selfless service throughout his lifetime for the upliftment and welfare of the people.
In a condolence message, the NZPO stated that late Rev Nsa had spent his life serving in different capacities as a teacher, pastor, president of ZBCC, founding member of Peren Town, and secretary of Zeliang Tribal Council. Further stating that the organisation will always remember his wisdom and guidance, it conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members.
Namri Nchang: Nagaland Advisor for Water Resources Department Namri Chang meanwhile stated that late Rev Nsa was a ‘pioneer’ in every field’ whose seeds of goodness sown among his own community and the Nagas will be fondly remembered by all.
“Standing tall as a true patriotic leader, he had led us in every front, setting an exemplary life,” he stated while conveying condolences to the bereaved family.
