Rev Dr W Along Jamir has been inducted as the Director in the Department of Translation at the Bible Society of India the Office.
Dimapur, November 30 (MExN): Rev Dr W Along Jamir has been inducted as the Director in the Department of Translation at the Bible Society of India (BSI) Office.
As per a delayed report received here, Jamir was inducted on behalf of the Officers of the BSI by Rev Dr M Mani Chacko, the General Secretary of the Society on November 22.
Reading out from Psalm 91, General Secretary pronounced a pastoral prayer to bless Jamir for God’s guidance with good health and wisdom to take the translation ministry of the Bible Society to a greater height through this new and crucial responsibility, it said.
The new director is a person with result driven professional with repeated success in guiding Bible Translation projects from start to finish, managing human operations and human resources, a quick leaner of the newer technologies which he inculcated to promote work operation efficiently, it informed.
A native of Mopungchuket village in Mokokchung, Jamir was the Associate Director at the Translation Centre, Shillong for 9 years, before the current assignment and shifted to Bengaluru in 2021.
