Dimapur, August 17 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) today surfaced with demands to the School Education department to immediately terminate all teachers’ appointments made with fake certificates, forged signature, fake appointment order as well as those of ‘absentee teachers.’ Further the NSF has asked the department to authenticate all doubtful and ad-hoc teachers and to terminate all irregular teachers. The NSF then demanded government officers or persons involved in the entire scam of irregular appointment to be prosecuted immediately by the government.
NSF puts forward Five Point Charter of Demand to State Govt
The NSF issued an ultimatum today to the Commissioner & Secretary of School Education to meet the demands within 45 days and has warned of consequences if the demands are not met. The NSF took strong note of the serious anomalies and discrepancies in the department of School Education and said justice must be delivered to the students’ community and the Naga people in generally.
Stating the demands, five in all, the NSF said –“to immediately terminate all the teachers appointed with fake educational certificates, appointment order with forged signature, fake appointment order and absentee teachers.” It also demanded to “immediately authenticate the doubtful and ad-hoc categories of teachers and terminate the irregular teachers.”
The federation then demanded immediate deployment of teachers “with placement and retention of trained teachers giving preference to local candidates maintaining full staff strength of the schools.” The NSF then demanded immediate stop to the ‘transfer and posting’ of teachers and that no teachers should be attached to DIS, DEOs, directorate and ministerial establishments. The government officers or persons involved in the entire scam of irregular appointment should immediately face action from the government, the NSF said.
“In the light of these aforementioned demands, the NSF will be compelled t resort to its own course of actions and the concerned authority shall be held accountable and responsible for any consequences if the five demands of the federation is not expedited and compiled within 45 days with effect from the date of submission of this representation,” the NSF cautioned.
