Phek, March 28 (MExN): President, North East NGOs Federation, Dr Er Vekho Swuro inaugurated the Rhakho-Swuro (Kharu) gate on March 28 at Chozubami Village.
Speaking on the occasion, Swuro maintained that unity and tranquillity is the key to success in live and that one needs to be self disciplined and pursue a dignified life.
Swuro challenged the two clans to be sincere and dedicated towards the interest and welfare of the clan in particular and the entire community in general. Stating that Rhakho-Swuro clan being the majority in line, Swuro urged the clan members to be humble and stand in the forefront of community activities and added that living a good exemplary life should a priority in life.
Rhakho-Swuro Clan has 167 households in Chozuba Village, according to a press release from the with the inauguration of the new gate, Swuro expressed hope that peace, unity, oneness prevails in community.
Earlier, Muluvoyi Swuro chaired the function and Sr Pastor of Chozubami Baptist Church (CBC) Rev Thepupa Swuro pronounced a dedicatory prayer for the newly constructed gate.
VCC of the village and other prominent leaders including leaders from other neighbouring villages attended the function.
According to the clan sources, the clan (Rhakho-Swuro) has 167 households, and the population is 784. Yekronyi Swuro (94) is the eldest person among the clan members.
