Dimapur, November 18 (MExN): The organisers of the Ricebowl Festival held a consultative meeting on November 17 and decided to cancel the second edition of the festival due to safety concerns regarding the coronavirus pandemic.
This was informed in a press release from the Secretary, Core committee, Ricebowl Festival, on Wednesday.
According to the release, the first edition of the festival was held in the month of December 2019 at Central Park, JSUN Reserve Forest Jalukie. The festival celebrates the bountiful harvest from the valley by showcasing the ‘exquisite’ collection of varied varieties of rice/paddy and rice based produce and also demonstrating the rich cultural heritage of its people, it stated.
Various activities and functions were organized including the much famous 'Music Fiesta' where a number of artists and bands from around the valley participated, it added.
