Rio condole demise of Dr Salie Iralu

Kohima, November 25 (MExN): Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio has condoled the demise of Dr Salie Iralu on November 25. In a press note, Rio said, Dr Salie was a God fearing man, who was a warm person, approachable, sincere and reliable in his profession as a doctor. Even after his retirement from service, he continued his humanitarian service to help the sick and the needy. 

He served the society in various capacities. He was an active member of Indian Red Cross Society and participated in several medical camps, reaching out to people in need. He served as a deacon of Union Baptist Church, Kohima. “Moreover, Dr Salie was someone who was well versed with our culture and tradition, for which he was much respected by the people,” Rio said.

In his demise, Rio said, “the Angami community and Naga society has lost a Good Samaritan and a father figure. Indeed, the void created by his demise can never be replaced. However, let us be thankful for his illustrious achievements in life and value the legacy he has left behind.”

He also conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family members with prayers for the departed soul rest in eternal peace.
