Rising Youth condemns non-payment of salary to work-charged employees

Dimapur, June 1 (MExN): The Rising People’s Party (RPP) youth wing has condemned the non-payment of salary to work-charged employees.

The Rising Youth, President, Zhokhoi Chüzoh and General Secretary, Tokato V Chishi on Tuesday said it is “disgusted” that the work-charged employees of numerous Departments have not been paid their hard earned salary for the past one and a half to two years. Rising Youth, on multiple occasions, have been approached by the “work-charged employees seeking justice as they are burdened by untold miseries arising out of the emotional, financial and social abuses meted out to them due to the negligence of the UDA government.”

As per reports, the Rising Youths informed that ‘non-payment of work-charged salaries has affected roughly about 15,000 employees who are solely dependent on this salary for their livelihood.’ Therefore, it reminded the UDA government that ‘every citizen irrespective of status has the right to live a dignity life as guaranteed under the Constitution of India.’

Alleging that the present government’s excuse of ‘lack of funds’ is a “farce and total lie - that it is just a gimmick to misappropriate and divert funds meant for the people of Nagaland,” the Rising Youth “finds it hard to even digest the fact that the present government could stoop so low as to commit such daylight robbery.”

It, therefore in support of the aggrieved work-charged employees appealed the UDA Coalition to release salaries immediately without excuse.
