RoP: Cabinet meets Service orgs

Dimapur, June 21 (MExN): The Nagaland Cabinet met with a number of government service organizations today in Kohima where interactions were held over the ongoing 6th Revision of Pay. It was informed that the service organizations did not include the Confederation of All Nagaland State Service Employees’ Association but those “who are not agitating.” An official source said today that the government reiterated the offer to the gathered service representatives and leaders. The state government of Nagaland is offering the state’s employees “notional pay fixation” – implementation of the 6th pay scale from June, 2008, but without arrear.

The source informed that the government reiterated the offer to a number of service representatives from the Nagaland Civil Service Association and Civil Secretariat organizations, among others. The medical services are said to be “neutral” for now. ‘We made to them the same offer (‘notional’ scale); they said they will discuss it with their members,’ the source said. The source added that the government’s offer remains the same and no other decision has been taken. “Our offer is still the same,” the government source said.
