Salma Ansari visits Kma Orphanage Home, Cathedral

Kohima, September 19 (DIPR): Salma Ansari, wife of Vice President of India Dr. M. Hamid Ansari visited Kohima Orphanage Home this evening, September 19. During her visit to the Orphanage Salma said that there are always problems and difficulties in life but people who have their hearts put at the right place can make a difference and achieve a lot. Mrs Salma also interacted with the children and wished them best of luck to go on from strength to strength. 

Founder and Mother of the Kohima Orphanage Home, Zaputo-u Angami expressed happiness and thanked the wife of Vice President, Salma Ansari and other dignitaries. Zaputo-u mentioned some of the difficulties faced by the children, mainly the transportation problem while going to school. She also expressed her hope that with the help of Nagaland State Government she can build a permanent Orphanage Home. The children also presented some special songs during the short function. 

Salma Ansari was accompanied by Commissioner & Secretary, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, Thangi Mannen. 

Moreover, she also visited the Cathedral at Kohima this afternoon which is an architectural wonder as well as a major tourist spot. 

Salma Ansari thanked the Catholic Ministries and students of Little Flower Higher Secondary School for according her with a warm welcome. Remark in the Visitor's Book during her visit she wrote that 'the Church has an amazing quality of space and expansion. The love and glory that pervades here and in the clergy working here is amazing. The place is really blessed'. 

Secretary to the Bishop of Nagaland, Rev. Father Benny explained in brief the history of the Church and cultural activities. As a significance of her visit to the Cathedral Ansari presented two candles stands to the ministry and further invoked God's blessing from the church. Rev. Father Carlus Angami, Rev. Father James K.C., Principal LFHSS and Sisters were also present during the occasion. LFHSS hostellers presented a welcome song.
