SAMETI imparts technical knowledge on Integrated Farming System

Medziphema, May 29 (MExN): State Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute (SAMETI) organised two-day online training on ‘Promotion of Integrated Farming System in Agri & Allied Sectors’ for ATMA functionaries at SAMETI, Medziphema on May 27 and 28. 

A press release issued by Director, SAMETI Medziphema stated that the training was aimed at imparting technical knowledge on Integrated Farming System in Agri & Allied Sectors to the participants. 

Resource persons for the training were Dr Lohit K Baishya, PhD, Post Doc (IARI), LLB, Principal Scientist (Agronomy), ICAR, Nagaland Centre and Dr A Sarkar, Asst Professor, Department of Horticulture, NU: SASRD, Medziphema.

Participatory lectures on ‘Promotion in Integrated Farming System in NE Region with Special Reference to Nagaland’ and ‘Integrated Farming System for Sustainable Horticulture Crop Production’ were covered during the training.

A total of 22 participants from different districts attended the training. The valedictory programme was chaired by Yezaho Swu, DPD SAMETI. Feedbacks were also received and E-Certificates were distributed to the participants.
