Medziphema, June 10 (MExN): State Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute (SAMETI), Medziphema organized a two-day online training programme on ‘Research Extension Convergence’ for ATMA functionaries at SAMETI, Medziphema on June 9 and 10.
The training was aimed at imparting technical knowledge on research extension convergence, said a press release issued by Director SAMETI, Medziphema. Resource persons for the training program were Dr S Borua, Faculty and M Dutta, RA from Extension Education Institute (NE Region), Government of India, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat. Participatory lectures on need for research extension converge, convergence between research and extension in agricultural sector, PRA methodologies and research extension linkages were covered during the training. A total of 22 participants from different districts attended the training. The valedictory program was chaired by Janet Chishi, DPD SAMETI. E-Certificates were distributed to the participants.
