Sanitation issue: DMC appeal for cooperation of GBs

Dimapur, June 23 (MExN): The Chief Advisor of Dimapur Municipal Council, Er. K. Keditsu called a meeting with office bearers of GB’s Union Dimapur at his office chamber on Wednesday to discuss about the sanitation problem faced by different wards and colonies and also intimated them about the initiatives of the DMC on sanitation, which DMC is giving due importance to. 

Also informing the GBs that Advisor would be visiting all the wards to assess the situation of sanitation problem faced by the people, he urged the GBs to co-operate with the advisors when they visit different colonies to study the situation. The Chief Advisor also informed that the DMC is contemplating to do away with the system of dumping/collecting of garbage into big dustbins. He called on the GBs to inform the residents that the DMC would soon start door to door collection of garbage. All residents are directed to keep their compound clean and collect garbage in their own dustbins so that the DMC staff can come and collect the same every morning for disposal.

Phukuto Zhimo-16, 7.
