Students participate in the Sao Chang College (SCC) 48th Freshers Day event held on March 26.
Tuensang, March 26 (MExN): The Sao Chang College (SCC), Tuensang hosted its 48th Freshers Day with the theme ‘Facing Forward’ at the College Multipurpose Hall with Akyuba Sangtam, Assistant Professor, SCC as the speaker on March 26.
The speaker in his address encouraged the students to work hard to achieve and excel in studies and to leave good impact in the college and society. “We should not be fooled by those false impression but we need to live a life of giving positive impact in all areas of our initiatives,” he said.
Sangtam further said that excelling in life does not come easy but we must be ready to face challenges and failures. “Our hope and aspirations should be set high and pursuit to achieving greater height academically and socially,” he added.
A press release issued by the College Media cell stated that the first session was chaired by Yongkong Sipong C Chang of Ba-4th semester; and welcome address was delivered by Daniel Chang, General Secretary, SCCSU.
Some of the other highlights were songs, dance, musical piece and beat boxing. Tonenchila Y Chang and Pangphi T Khiamniungan were crowned Miss Fresher & Mr Fresher respectively.
The programme was organized for the 2nd semester students as it could not be conducted in 2020 due to Covid-19 pandemic.
