Sazolie College holds 2nd Graduation Day

Sazolie College, Jotsoma held its 2nd Graduation Day at Viniezono Hall for the graduating students (2022-2025) FYUGP under Nagaland University on July 19.

Kohima, July 19 (MExN): Sazolie College, Jotsoma held its 2nd Graduation Day at Viniezono Hall for the graduating students (2022-2025) FYUGP under Nagaland University on July 19. 

In the principal’s address, Dr Gopal Chetri highlighted the relentless efforts of the graduating class and encouraged the students to uphold the values of integrity, service, and excellence in their future endeavours.

In the Academic report, Vice-Principal, Waloniba Jamir highlighted the college’s achievement of 85.56 pass percentage in the recently declared Under-Graduate programme results, with 4 students being ranked in the university toppers list and 18 students with CGPA of 8 and above.

In Academic awards, Bendangsola Longkumer (Sociology Rank 2nd- CGPA 9.08); Thejasevino Meyase (Sociology Rank 3rd- CGPA 9.06); Bena Patton (Political Science Rank 4th-CGPA 9.05); Taliba (History Rank 9th-CGPA 8.41) were awarded the Management Toppers Award.

Imlienla I Aier (Psychology-CGPA 9.29) received the Mavericks Academic Excellence Award and Alumni Academic Excellence Award. Bendangsola Longkumer bagged the “Student of the Year” award.

The Commencement Speaker, Professor N Vehuh, Vice-Chancellor, Nagaland University, Kohima Campus, Meriema, exhorted the students to understand who they are and to “identify their talents”. He further encouraged the students to believe in themselves, to face life’s challenges with courage, resilience, and with positive attitude. His words, rich with wisdom and experience, resonated with the young graduates, instilling a sense of purpose and confidence.

The valedictory speech was given by Bendangsola Longkumer and the programme was led by Nzanmongi Kikon, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science. The programme was attended by the parents, alumni association, Jotsoma Students’ Union and other dignitaries.
