The 7th Triennial Conference of the SBAK– Aizuto kicked off at Phuye New Baptist Church on December 10 with the theme, ‘God's Word Endures Forever.’

Dimapur, December 11 (MExN): The 7th Triennial Conference of the Sümi Baptist Akukuhou Kuqhakulu (SBAK –Aizuto) kicked off at Phuye New Baptist Church on December 10 with the theme, “God's Word Endures Forever.” The triennial will conclude on December 12.
Dwelling on the theme at the opening service, Rev Dr Joshua Rochill, Director Urban Mission, SBAK encouraged the believers to remain firm and hold on to faith regardless of one’s circumstances and situations in life as word of God is still alive and nothing shall come to pass untill it is fulfilled.
“We are living in the world of advancement and its devices yet the only thing that shall endure forever is the word of God, therefore as a believer of this present time we should and must hold on to the word of God much more than the philosophy and culture of this world,” he added.
A press release from the Media Supervisor ZTSBC, informed that earlier Executive Secretary Rev Mulato Chishi invoked the presence of God while it ended with benediction by Rev Henito Achumi, Ex. Evangelist.
It also featured a welcome song by the host church and a welcome note by Toiho Yeptho, Akukau, Phuye New Village, whileDr Pihoto Khala, President Executive Council of its Association addressed the congregation.
On the second day, Rev Picuto Yepthomi, Literature Secretary spoke on the on the topic, “Fighting the Battle on Knees,” and encouraged the congregation saying that though the battle seem too strong yet there is a victory when one fight the battle on knee.
Rev Yepthomi also highlighted life of Godly men and women in the Bible, such as Daniel, who fought the ‘battle on knee though there was an evil device against him and his faith,’ as well as so Esther, who stood for her people in prayer and saw the ‘deliverance in the mighty hand of God.’
When one kneels in prayer in the presence of God, there is and will be miraculous victory and deliverance in our lives, he added.
Rev Yepthomi further underscored that prayer is not a time for demanding whatever one wants, but more it is more like asking what God wants a person to do as per His will and accepting by faith in our daily lives.
“Praying on knees is a symbol of our reverence to God, the only way to get delivered from all our bound is our knees in prayer,” he added.
The second day started with a prayer by Rev Khuviqhe, Ex. Pastor while Aghunato Area Church Leaders and Anderson Theological College choir presented songs.
During the service, a special ceremony for ordination of four pastors as Reverends was administered by SBAK Executive Secretary Rev Mulato.
There will be a declaration of new SBAK Staff and pastor transfer during the triennial, the release said.
The conference will be further graced by Khehovi Yeptho MLA , Advisor Tourism, Art & Culture as special guest while KK Sema, IAS Retd will deliver the word of encouragement, it added.
