Dimapur, December 12 (MExN): The SBI, through the initiative of Anma Integrated Development Association (AIDA), distributed blankets and mosquito nets to 132 families. These were people displaced due to the fire on November 11 at public ground colony (Tata Parking Area) Dimapur.

The relief programme was graced by Rev Fr TT Joseph SDB, Mission Procure of Dimapur province and Associate Director of AIDA. He expressed sympathy and solidarity with all the affected families and people. 

He thanked the General Manager, RS Ramesh, CGM, NE Circle SBI, Guwahati for sponsoring the materials. He further expressed gratitude to Abinash Hembrom, AGM, SBI, Dimapur for facilitating the sponsorship. He meanwhile assured prayerful support to all and to explore possibilities of assisting the students of the affected families.

Rev Fr PX Andrew, Director of ‘Go Green, Grow…’ organization, gave out the relief materials to the fire victims in the presence of Joint secretary of the colony, Jabir Ahmed and AIDA staff as well as elders from the colony. 

According to a report from the colony authorities, around 44 houses out of 132 families have students in various schools. They lost all their books and stationery, uniforms and learning materials in the fire.
