Science exhibition at G Rio School

Dimapur, July 30 (DIPR): Excited students of G. Rio School put up different models ranging from volcanic eruptions, agricultural technology, pollution, solar energy, animal kingdom, traffic rules, earthquake etc, during the annual science exhibition held in the school premises today, July 30, 2011. The students were seen explaining the models to the visitors, teachers and parents.
Assistant Headmistress G. Rio School, Lanu Vihienuo observed that the objective of organizing the science exhibition was to create a platform to improve not only the academic skills but also the social skills of the students.
“This will help in all round development of the students”, she maintained. She further said that in organizing such programme helps the students to know deeper into what they are learning, not just by memory, but it helps them to learn how to present themselves in public thereby development their social skills. “Through this they learnt to be confident”, Lanu added. Students from both the junior and senior block participated in the science exhibition by preparing different models.
