Dimapur, March 29 (MExN): Security forces in joint operations with Police made multiple arrests in Dimapur district on March 25 and 28.
According to a press release from the HQ IGAR (N), one ‘overground worker’ was apprehended in general area Iron Bridge Zutovi Junction in Dimapur district on March 25.
The release stated that based on a specific input, security forces along with State Police apprehended the ‘overground worker’ and recovered one.32mm bore pistol, two magazines of.32mm bore pistol and 13 rounds of.32mm live ammunition.
The apprehended individual along with recoveries has been handed over to Chümoukedima Police Station, Dimapur for further investigation, it added.
In another incident, the HQ IGAR (N) stated that security forces in a joint operation with Police apprehended one cadre of NSCN (KN) in general area Kuhoboto under Dimapur district March 28.
The release stated that one .22mm pistol with magazine, eight rounds of .22mm pistol, 25 rounds of AK-47, five rounds of 9mm, one Grenade number 90 and other incriminating materials were recovered during the operation.
The apprehended individual along with recoveries has been handed over to Diphupar Police Station, Dimapur for further investigation, it added.
Meanwhile, security forces in a joint operation with police also apprehended one cadre of NSCN (IM) in general area Mishikito under Dimapur district on March 28.
“Based on a specific input, Security Forces in a joint operation with State Police apprehended one cadre of NSCN (IM) and recovered one 9mm pistol, 12 rounds of 9mm live ammunition and three rounds of 12 bore ammunition near Mishikito, Dimapur District, Nagaland,” the HQ IGAR (N) stated in a press release.
The apprehended individual along with recoveries has been handed over to East Police Station, Dimapur for further investigation.
