Dimapur, November 4 (MExN): As part of its ongoing crackdown to prevent illegal activities in Nagaland, security forces seized a consignment of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) in general area Zubza Nala on November 1.
“Based on specific intelligence regarding illegal activities in Gen A, Zubza Nala, security forces launched an operation along with Police representative and apprehended three persons,” informed a press release from HQ IGAR (N) on Wednesday.
Recoveries included 500 cases of Rum Mc Dowell, 62 cases of Officers Choice Whisky, 200 cases of Kingfisher Strong and 19 cases of Magic Moments Vodka amounting to Rs 35.48 lakh approximately, it added.
The apprehended persons along with recovered items were handed over to Sechu (Z) Police Station, Kohima for further investigation.
