Dimapur, August 21 (MExN): A seminar titled “Building Responsible AI Usage Habits and Digital Discipline” at Livingstone Foundation College (LFC) on August 20 explored responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in academic and personal settings.
The seminar, held in collaboration with Instudia brought together educators and students to discuss digital discipline, ethical AI use and the need to prevent over-reliance on technology, according to a press release received here.
Resource person Vishal Bardewa led the technical and interactive sessions, sharing practical approaches to using AI as a learning tool while maintaining human creativity and critical thinking.
The session covered using AI for brainstorming while retaining original ideas, setting boundaries to avoid technological dependency, fact-checking and verifying AI-generated information, and using AI as a tutor rather than as an automated assignment generator.
Bardewa emphasised that AI should not replace human intelligence, critical thinking or creativity, but should be used to enhance comprehension and retention when used purposefully.
The seminar concluded with a question-and-answer session, during which students and faculty discussed ethical concerns surrounding AI dependency, data privacy and the preservation of academic integrity in an increasingly technology-driven environment, informed a press release from Instudia.
