Seminar on IP Rights held at Pranabananda Women’s College

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 28 (MExN): The IQAC and Department of Political Science, Pranabananda Women’s College, Dimapur on organized a State Level Seminar on ‘Intellectual Property Rights’ for the staff and the student’s community on November 26. 

The resource person of the seminar was Advocate Limasenla Longkumer, Project Coordinator, Access to Justice, Nagaland. The resource person enlightened the participants regarding the importance of IPR for safe-guarding the intellectual investments of the stakeholders. She also stressed the importance of Geographical Indication especially for a state like Nagaland, which is rich in agricultural practices and its unique traditional attires. 

The Chairperson and the welcome address was delivered by T Hanneng, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, PW College, Dimapur and the vote of thanks was delivered by Ulla Laureen Fernandez, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, PW College, Dimapur. 

Around 150 students and faculty members attended the said programme.
