Senior Citizen’s Home inaugurated in Ngwalwa village

With the intervention of Good Samaritan Women Society (GSWS), Kohima, a Senior Citizen’s Home was formally inaugurated by Nagaland’s Social Welfare Director Atoli Sumi at Ngwalwa village under Peren district.

The director expressed happiness over the setting up of this Home to take care of older persons at Ngwalwa. She also lauded the efforts and mission of GSWS towards the well being of the elderly persons in the state. “Through this home, I am sure, many older citizens will be very much blessed,” she said.

Peren Deputy Commissioner Sentiwapang Aier and several other government officials including public leaders also graced the occasion.

GSWS chairperson Neithonuo Liegise thanked Peren DC and Ngwalwa village authority for their support towards the setting up of this Senior Citizen’s Home at Ngwalwa. 

Earlier, Pastor Mhasiselie Theiinuo pronounced dedicatory prayer. Later, Dr Joyce Angami, president Nagaland Medical Council, Dr Tia and others assisted the medical check- up of the older persons.
