Dimapur, March 14 (MExN): Mokokchung and Dimapur registered emphatic yet contrasting victories in their respective matches at the Senior Men’s Inter-District Tournament 2025 on Friday.
Mokokchung edged past Mon by 5 wickets at the Sovima Cricket Ground, successfully chasing a target of 112 in 24.3 overs. Merenchemba led the chase with an unbeaten 43 off 60 balls, while Amongti Lkr, named Player of the Match, shone with the ball, taking 3/22.
In a dominant display, Dimapur overpowered Kohima by 156 runs at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium, after initially posting a huge total of 315/7 in 50 overs. Hem Bahadur Chetri, who was adjudged Player of the Match, starred with both bat and ball, scoring 88 and taking 5/27, dismantling Kohima for 159 in 48.1 overs.
