Dimapur, September 10 (MExN): A delegation of lawyers from the Nagaland Bar Association and the High Court Bar Association met with the Union Minister of Law and Justice, Kiren Rijiju on September 10, and submitted a representation requesting a separate High Court for the State of Nagaland. The delegation was led by A Zhimomi and CT Jamir, Presidents of the respective associations.
A press release informed that the Union Minister apprised the delegation of the steps taken by the Central Government and the State Government on the said subject. The meeting was positive and it is the expectation of the Bar of Nagaland that the State would soon have its High Court, the release stated.
