Tuensang, May 28 (MExN): The Y Anner Village Students’ Union (YVSU) has voiced its support for the Joint Co-Ordination Committee’s (JCC) memorandum issued to the Chief Minister on May 26 highlighting the lack of medical facilities at Community Health Centre (CHC) Shamator.
In its press release on Friday, the YVSU bemoaned the lackadaisical attitude shown by the concerned department and sought immediate redressal of the grievances faced by general public.
Shamator CHC being the lone health centre in the entire Shamator area has been neglected and non-deployment of required workforce and facilities immensely affects the citizens, the YVSU noted.
With the detection of COVID-19 cases in Shamator area, the patients as well as the citizens have been put at risk, it highlighted, adding that over the months, the Shamator CHC is running without doctors and required workforce.
In light of these circumstances and considering the unavailability of facilities at Shamator CHC in the midst of the pandemic, the YVSU asked the competent authority to consider the matter and initiate necessary arrangement by deploying the required workforce and facilities at the earliest.
