Dimapur, October 19 (MExN): The Department of Botany, St Joseph University (SJU), Dimapur organized a webinar on ‘reference and citation management using Mendeley software’ on October 17 through Google meet.
The webinar was attended by faculties, research scholars and students of various fields from all over the India.
The guest speaker Dr Nidheesh KS, Assistant professor, department of Botany SJU started with explaining the importance of creating bibliographies and citing published work in research writing and importance of adopting a specific style for creating references in producing a well-rounded piece of writing. In this regard, the speaker introduced a powerful and free reference and citation managing software ‘Mendeley’.
The webinar focused on the objectives such as installation of Mendeley software in the computer, managing research papers in Mendeley library, importing references and adding associated paper to mendeley library, highlighting and making searchable notes in the files and citing and automatically creating bibliographies while writing.
PRO, SJU Dimapur in a press release stated that at the end of the programme, the speaker discussed and clarified all the doubts of the participants and feedbacks from the participants were collected.
