
Mon, November 29 (MExN): A two-day basic training/workshop on Skill Development under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) Support Activity was organized by Public Health Engineering Department on November 25 and 26 at the Office of the Executive Engineer (EE), PHED Mon Division.
The main objective was to impart basic skill development to ensure sustainability of the water supply infrastructure, according to a DIPR report received on Monday.
A total of 64 participants including WATSAN Committee members, Village Heads from 21 villages where JJM Scheme is currently under implementation at Mon district attended the training.
The training consisted of two sessions. In the introductory session, keynote address was delivered by Medoseto Kiso, District Coordinator, DWSM, Mon, where he emphasized on the vital role of WATSAN Committee along with the villagers for the long-term operation and maintenance of the project. Er Kezhalaeo Thenuo, spoke on sustainability of JJM Scheme through Inter-Personal Communication. It was followed by a practical session where electrification, plumbing, welding, and masonry techniques were imparted to the trainees, the DIPR reported.
