A three day ‘Skill training for rural employment’ held under the aegis of Nagaland Khadi & Village Industries Board (Nagaland Khadi & Village Industries Board) in collaboration with Glocal Concepts Nagaland (GCN) concluded on August 11 at Medziphema town under Chümoukedima district.
Altogether, 252 youth took part in the training programme.
The resource persons of the training programme included Keneikhrienuo Catherine Mere (Food Processing), Asangla Ao (Soap Making), Ketoulhoulie Kuotsu (Carpentry), Chubanungla, team leader & district in-charge NBHM, Francis Kikon, team member NBHM, Akum Yanger, team member NBHM, Temjenchuba, team member NBHM and Sheveto, bee- keeper (Bee Keeping).
Akhoto Kuotsu, president Medziphema Public Organization distributed certificates to the trainees. The closing programme was presided over by Ketoulhoulie Kuotsu while vote of thanks was proposed by Pfukeduo Sopfu, PS to Advisor to CM and NKVIB chairman.
Sopfu stated that the training programme conceptualized by NKVIB chairman Dr Neiphrezo Keditsu, is driven with a vision to develop a platform for skill acquisition, skill upgradation, self-employment, employment generation and contribution to economic growth.
